Dr. McGregor N. Lott has been practicing ophthalmology for nearly 15 years. He completed his undergraduate degree in history at Yale University and then went on to complete his Doctorate at the Medical College of Georgia in 2002. He accepted his fellowship there with the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia. As part of this research fellowship, Dr. Lott studied the use of a retinal drug under the supervision of the reputable Dennis M. Marcus, MD.
Dr. Lott accepted a medical internship from 2003 to 2004 in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, followed by his residency in ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia.
In 2007, Dr. Lott relocated to Florida, where he became licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine. He then accepted a fellowship in Medical Retina at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, where he remained until 2008. He went on to become certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2009 and continues to provide excellent ophthalmology services to patients in Florida. Dr. Lott joined Florida Eye Specialists after working for Mayo Clinic in his hometown of Waycross, Georgia, for 9 years. He has earned a reputation as a compassionate, skilled doctor who goes out of his way to make sure his patients are comfortable and understand every aspect of their eye health.
In addition to exceptional retina care, Dr. Lott provides comprehensive ophthalmic eye care for his patients. He serves the Jacksonville area with the same care and attention as he has throughout his entire career.
